Chapmanville Middle School had the opportunity to take a few 7th-grade students to the Gear Up STEM Academy at the Clay Center yesterday. Students were able to participate in a career fair and watch a presentation by Kate the Chemist. It was a great day with some learning and a lot of fun! Students were selected by their math/science teachers. #GEARUPworks

Students in Mrs. Lockler's 2nd block completed body biographies after reading Gone by Michael Grant. It is their last big project prior to end-of-the-year testing, and they knocked it out of the park. We are proud of their creativity and attention to detail!
Mrs. Farley's 6th grade Science students in 1st and 3rd block classes analyzed weather maps to provide evidence of how interactions of air masses result in changes in weather conditions.
Our 8th-grade students (and staff) enjoyed our field trip April 27 touring the Marshall University Campus today. Exposing students to career/college opportunities is our goal (and having fun too). #GEARUPworks
